Speekl is a platform connecting students with tutors, fostering online learning of different languages.

To become a registered user, you are required to create a student account within the Platform. The registration process involves providing your email address, verifying it with an OTP code, and providing your full name.

Once you've selected a tutor, you can check their availability and schedule a lesson directly through the Platform. Choose a suitable date and time, and confirm the booking.

We offer convenient and secure online payment methods:
  • Debit/Credit Card: Safely input your card details to facilitate lesson payments.
  • Apple Pay: Apple device users can utilize Apple Pay for convenient and secure transactions.
  • Google Pay: Android device users can enjoy fast and secure transactions with Google Pay.

Absolutely. We've integrated with Stripe, a globally trusted payment gateway, to secure your financial transactions. You can conveniently pay for lessons directly through the Platform using encrypted methods, ensuring your peace of mind.

While we do not levy any additional fees or charges, Stripe, our payment processor, imposes its own fee on online transactions. This fee, approximately 5% of the lesson's cost, is charged to students. We recommend reviewing Stripe's terms and conditions for further details on their fees.

All our online lessons are conducted via Speekl Classroom, a video conferencing tool, allowing students and tutors to meet each other and conduct Lessons virtually - either by video or audio-only or both.

After booking a lesson, it will appear in your list of upcoming lessons. At the scheduled time of your lesson, simply click on the "Join classroom" button, and you will be connected with your tutor.

Yes, you can reschedule your lesson. To do so, simply use the 'Reschedule' button provided within each of your booked lessons. Please note the following policies regarding rescheduling:
  • Advance Rescheduling: You can reschedule lessons up to 6 hours before the scheduled start time to another suitable date and time.
  • Late Rescheduling: Rescheduling is not permitted within the last 6 hours before the scheduled start time. If you cannot attend the lesson at this point, we recommend canceling it instead.

Yes, you can cancel your lesson. To do so, simply use the 'Cancel' button provided within each of your booked lessons. Please note the following policies regarding cancellations:
  • Advance Cancellation: You can cancel lessons up to 6 hours before the scheduled start time to receive a full refund without incurring any additional charges.
  • Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within the last 6 hours before the scheduled start time are considered late cancellations. In such cases, no refund will be provided, and the full cost of the lesson will be charged to you.
