I have 2 years of teaching experience including 1 year of teaching English as a second language in Thailand. I have a bachelor's degree in special education and a TESOL certificate. I am most experienced in teaching ages 13 to adult with a range of A1-C1 proficiencies. In a virtual setting, it can be challenging to keep students actively participating and interested throughout the session. To address this, I use various different strategies such as interactive tools like polls, brain break games, and catering the lesson to each students' interests. Building relationships in an online environment is also crucial, so I start sessions with icebreakers and casual discussions to try and get to know the students better. By staying proactive with technology and fostering a supportive learning environment, I strive to overcome these challenges and ensure a productive online teaching experience.
